RX Drops

Hi,

I have 2 x 4108g as my core switches. I have 2 cat 5 GB ports on each connected using the trk method. I have no lacp set on these ports and Im unsure if this makes any difference.

In one port I have a lot of RX Drops up 100 in a day.
I seen a post tp run MIB to get a more detailed error message. How would I go about this.

thanks
ROnnie

Re: RX Drops

Hi

Whats the port configuration, Speed and Duplex ?
Also, are you using CAT-5 or CAT-5E copper cables?
Attach the Show run here if you can after deleting any private information like IPs.

Good Luck !!!

Re: RX Drops

Hi

Port config set to Auto-1000 on both sides of both ports.

Using CAT 5 cable so going to change this as my first test and monitor

Re: RX Drops

Have you issued the "Trunk" command on each switch to trunk the 2 interfaces together?

As far as i am aware you do not LACP enabled for this set up to work , as you are configuring a static trunk.
