Renewing ARP tables

Hi Everyone,

We have some devices that are intermittently not responding on our Windows network.

We using several HP Procurve 2524 switches.

Do anyone happen to know the command line to flush the ARP tables?

You could do "no ip arp " but why would you want to?

I think you may need to back up a step or two, e.g. look at the switch logs and port statistics for abnormalities.

What was happening was some of our printers, terminals, and time clocks were not communicating across the WAN. But these devices would respond locally. In effect the time clock was not updating employee punches, no one could not print to a specific printer, and one person could not connect to terminal services.

From my perspective all this sounded like it could be bad connectors, NICs, or cabling at first. I was asked to find the command to renew the routing tables.

But after investigation our networking consultants found that where we rent our fiber to help support our WAN that they had some issues with 'their' equiptment.

Problem was associated with the routing but I'm not sure to what extent.
