Routing on 5308 XL
Dear All,
We have 02 VLANs on HP ProCurve Switch 5308XL (VLAN1: 192.168.100.0 & VLAN2: 192.168.200.0).
Active Directory Server & DHCP Server are on VLAN1.
Are Hosts on VLAN2 can logon to Domain & get IP form DHCP on Servers on VLAN1? How do to do that?
Any info is appreciated..

Re: Routing on 5308 XL
You need to use IP helper adderss that points to you DHCP pserver from VLAN2 as UDP poackets do not traverse VLAN's

Re: Routing on 5308 XL
Thanks Ron,
If I using routing between 2 VLANs, hosts on 2 VLANs can connect together?
So, can hosts logon to Active Directory on difference VLAN?
rgds,
QH
