SNMP Community Names problem

I'm having a problem with SNMP over our network. We use several vendors, but are HP heavy. When I look at the network using a Fluke Optiview, the community names appear in plain text (as per SNMPv1). I know both items (in this case an HP 2524 and the Fluke) are both capable of SNMPv2 where the community names would be passed encrypted, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm looking into the FLuke end of things, but is there anything in the HP that I might be missing that would force SNMP down to v1? Thanks for any heads up...

Re: SNMP Community Names problem

I just realized SNMPv2c doesn't send the community names encrypted. Answered my own question.
