SNMP problems: J4865A ProCurve Switch 4108GL, J4093A ProCurve Switch 2424M
Hi,
I am trying to manage via SNMP the following HP switches: J4865A ProCurve Switch 4108GL, J4093A ProCurve Switch 2424M.
Considering the documentation, the switches must support the following mibs: IF-MIB, BRIDGE-MIB, Q-BRIDGE-MIB, HPSWITCHCONFIG.MIB, hpVLAN.mib and other private HP MIBs.
I have the following questions:
1. Why 4108GL doesn't support hpVLAN.mib (tested)? Is it about the operation system version?
2. hpVLAN.mib is working for 2424M, but how can I create/delete a VLAN?
2. Can you save the configuration via SNMP?
3. I try to configure trunks/LACP trunks (channel groups) via SNMP. How do I assign a name to a channel group (is it necessary)?
4. Channel group configuration is working on 2424M, but still not working on 4108GL, consider the following output (other OIDs in the hpSwitchPortConfig are OK):
------------------------------
"set hpSwitchPortTrunkGroup.[ifindex] to '1'" returns error message.
Best Regards,
Mladen
