Setting IP address
I want to set a static IP address on a networked PC, I select the "Use the following IP address" radio button and enter my IP address details.
However when I go back to IP properties the "Obtain an Ip address automatically" radio button is checked and the details I entered have gone.
Any ideas ?

Re: Setting IP address
is this a local pc or a company workstation?
if it is member of a domain, a policy may reset the configuration.

Re: Setting IP address
It is a company workstation, however I am a member of the administrator group.
Further to the above - I have found that using the IP Properties GUI, the IP address seems not to change, however, when I run IPCONFIG /ALL, the new IP address is listed for the box !!
