Setup & Configure Modem

Friends, Can you guide me on the setup of Modem:
* Setup & Configure Modem
* Test & Dial to an ISP.

I ALWAYS wonder - WHY do you folks make things sooooo difficult for us to help you.

Start by telling us what you have - Are you adding a new modem to a PC - or is it allready installed? Is it an internal or external modem? What operating system are you running?

You might think that these details aren't necessary, but we need to know - does he/she just need a walk through of the software side or the whole kit & caboodle, from remove the cabinet and find an empty ISA slot - I wonder does he need to disable an on board com port for that?

Where do we start? You've told us what you need to achieve, now tell us what you have.
