Smart Link Failover convergence time too long

Setup :

HP 25308G switch  deployed as access layer switch and cisco switches deploed as core switch.

From access switch two uplinks are connected to core switches and interfaces are member of smart link group.

Preemption configured on smart link group.

Issue:

 switch-over  traffic from primary   to  secondary   aking too long (4-5 min)

Below changes switch-over getting success immediately

• clearing the mac address the on any one of the witch (Access/Core

Please some one help  me to address this issue.
