Software update time out via Procueve manager

Hi,

just purchased new 2650B switches but when I try and run software update for procurve manager I get a time out during the initial scan. All other switches seem to scan fine.
Procurve manager v B.02.005
2650B S/W v H.08.67

Hi Ronnie, I have had this problem a few times before, Things to check are :

SNMP communities are correct. Make sure one has Manager access and not 'Operator unrestricted'

Telnet/SSH username and passwords are correct on the device and the PCM server.

IP authorised managers command is not restricting access.

Also, Ensure that the operator username and password (If used) is NOT the same as the manager one! (I have seen this before and it causes all sorts of problems)

You should be able to run a test in PCM to see if the communication parameters afre correct.

Hi Jonathan

Have tried all these options and all OK,
it may be an issue with the switch have a call open with HP at moment. As I get time out error when I try and XMODEM an update from the console port.
