Spurious HP 2848 switch reboots due to "Power Failure"

I bought an HP2848 switch (48-port GigE) at the end of 2003 and installed it in March of 2004. Periodically (like once a month) it would reboot itself with:

'System reboot due to Power Failure'

HP sent a replacement. That one also rebooted itself periodically with the same reason.

HP sent me another replacement. I put it onto a different UPS and it too recently rebooted itself claiming power failure.

Computers plugged into the same UPSes hum along without problems so I am skeptical to think it is really a power issue. Two different circuits each with their own UPS have been tried.

Is anyone else seeing the same issue?

Check with your local Support Centre as a new beta release has just been made available that addresses some issues, and I believe this is one of them. The code should go official release (ie available publicly on the web) in the next few weeks.

In the mean time, your support centre can supply it to you.
