Stacking ProCurve 2824 with 2848
We┬┤ve tried to stack the above switches.
We followed the procedures in the manuals.
After connecting master and slave it seems that
the switches are successfully stacked.
After app. 20sec there is much traffic on all
ports and all port LEDs on master are "ON"
all network connections are hanging.
We have to cut the stacking connection.
Firmware on both switches is the same.
Any ideas ??

Re: Stacking ProCurve 2824 with 2848
Definately sounds like a network loop. Are you just giving one connection to the other switch? Spanning tree will kill the extra link no doubt.
If you're trying to trunk 2 ports for added bandwidth, then there is more that needs to be done it sounds like.
