Strange Switch behavior

Hello,

we 're useing three HP ProCurve 4108gl switches, with the latest firmeware version and last week a strange problem occurs. Everything was looking okay, but suddenly the trunk-ports (connection switch2switch)were completly busy. The only hints at our switch-logs were are some CRC problems at some of our ports.

If I'm looking now at our switches, the top load of the trunk ports are: 60% for a few seconds. I suppose, that are some kind of broadcast or connections to our mail-system occurs.
