Suggestion on shaping on 5300xl
We are using a 5304XL as switch connected to Internet, working at L2 and handling a dozen of vlans. All traffic is handled by a firewall, which interfaces all vlans.
We would like to limit some interfaces bandwith, and hope to use this switch features to semplify our life.
But I'm not able to find any manual explaining clearly what we can do, so I have some questions:
1) do we have to enable switch routing in order to enable shaping? We can assign it specific IPs, but we would like to avoid it making routing.
2) can we apply some ACL both on WAN and local interfaces in order to limit ingress bandwith to/from specific ports?
3) is there any clear how-to?
Thanks,
Tonino
