At  login, some of our 2824 ProCurve switches generate this prompt.

It's causing the automated config backup app (CatTools) to choke and fail to backup the switch's config.

 

Anyone know how to get rid of this prompt?

If you create your own banners the default messages are gone.

 

There are two banners:

banner motd

banner exec

 

banner motd is the one with the 'Please register' message.
