Switch 4104GL Fault

hy , we have one 4104gl populated with 4 10/100-tx gl module, it's shows me the faulty light and self light blinking , i remove all modules but still the same. Can some one advice me wht do i do?

hi wahmed what model number your 10/100tx module
4100 series switch use only 4862B 10/100 module
other 10/100 module don't work on 4100 switch (j8565A dont work)on 4100

so you have 10/100 module true product

in this case check switch software update

for 4100 switchs last update G.07.107

please update your switch

you can remove all module and continued same problem (fault light blink another problem on switch .
I think fan or power supply problem occur on switch.

before same problem occur on many 4100 switch
because resolve this problem with G.07.106 release version.

but you have switch version G.07.107
not continius software problem .

I think you have hardware problem on switch backbone card.Switch is when power on startup operation before POST test (Power On Self Test)and after runing all switch operation because not successfully POST test switch is not runing and start blink self test light

you must be make call your country hp support team and you want say change in the slot c and slot d module.

please find the attached log you ask, you know most funny thing is that in the log i only see backplane link to slot C & D failed and after removing the module I insert in to another 4100 switch and they work fine. I think you are right ,itâ s now time to call the HP to replace this switch.
Lastly is there any possibility that I can download the whole config and when I received the new switch I can upload that conifg, in this way I can reduce my network down time
