Switch authentication
Other than radius and a local login account is there any other way to login to an HP switch?

Re: Switch authentication
How do you configure local login on the switch? Is local login a secure method for authentications?

Re: Switch authentication
Hi,
I believe TACAS is also another option.
Which device you are using?
Thanks!

Re: Switch authentication
I am logging into various models of HP switches (one is 3810) but we are also using microsoft radius to authenticate. I was a bit concerned that there was an option to do a local login because it seems a bit insecure. So I was curious what other people were using and I don't know what TACAS is I am new to HP switch programming

Re: Switch authentication
Hi,
Other options are Radius or TACACS.
Please follow below link for Aruba 3810 device to understand the Radius & TACACS.
