Tag vs Untag

Can anyone explain tag and untag by comparing with Cisco access and trunk port?

This presentation should clarify you VLAN related nomenclature (Cisco versus HPE) a little bit.

Hello ,

To be very simple , Untagged port is nothing but Access port and Tag is Trunk port.

Thanks

Re: Tag vs Untag

As always, it's a matter of approaching a networking scenario with the right (neutral) mindset...which doesn't mean that Cisco jargon/lexicon can be freely used/imposed in other non Cisco contexts and, clearly, the vice-versa (HPE jargon/lexicon on non HPE contexts).
