Telnet access fails
I have turned on a switch which I had not used for a couple of weeks. Tried to get Telnet access to it (using a previously saved session) but that didn't work.
I did a "hard" reset on the switch and connected again (tried speeds between 9600 &115200)but the session halts after the following message:
"Waiting for Speed Sense. Press twice to continue."
If I press enter twice nothing happens.

Re: Telnet access fails
Hello,
what you are trying is not a telnet session, but a terminal session over serial console. Try to disable flow control in your terminal programm. Other serial settings: 9600, 8, N, 1
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Telnet access fails
Hello,
sometimes you need to hit more then two times until it works. Check you serial settings, 9600,8,N,1 with no flow control should work.
Regards,
Patrick

Re: Telnet access fails
Have closed this thread and reopend one with the proper title:
Terminal session access fails
Session settings are as you guys suggested (it has worked before) and I did try hitting Enter more than once.
