Re: To block Internet for time.

Very short request. Can you specify what hardware you have to use for it.
Most firewall can handle rules by time.

If you just have a switch with a port to an adsl modem and you want to have that blocked. Make a simple script from a server that enables and disbles that port.
(just only for small environments)

Larger environment get a good firewall.

Re: To block Internet for time.

Can I do it with ACL? Already I have the ACL but now I want that it is applied only in the time range specificated.

Re: To block Internet for time.

with theis hardware the best is to setup acl's on the prourve 5064. And use a script on one of your server to put the acl on or off.
acl's explained: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/3500-5400-6200-ASG-0207-K.12.XX-10-ACLs.pdf

Better is to buy a firewall that supports policy's in combination with time rules.

Good luck with testing.

Re: To block Internet for time.

Hi

With Identity Driven Manager, you can integrate with your Active Directory/RADIUS server, and do Authentication based on:

Time, Date, Location .... and enforce certain roles along with that like Vlan, QoS ...

Take a look at this cool product :
http://www.hp.com/rnd/products/management/idm/overview.htm

note: IDM needs PCM+ to be installed.

Good Luck !!!
