Trunking best-practices with 5412zl...

Since this switch is modular and high-availability of trunks is of paramount concern, I'm looking to get an answer to the following scenario:

We have a server with a quad-port NIC. Are there any drawbacks towards putting one port on each of the four installed blades configured as a trunk? For example, I would use ports A4, B4, C4, and D4 in a single trunk.

The goal is to protect against blade failure.

However, I do not wish to adversely effect the performance of the trunk by doing so.

Thoughts?

Since all packets coming into the switch go through the switch fabric (aka the backplane) even if going between two ports on the same module there is no performance hit for trunking cross module. I regularly trunk cross module on these switches.
