Tunnel VLAN across sites

Hi, I am trying to find a way to bridge or tunnel a VLAN across two geographical sites.

We have a Layer 3 network in between, but I was hoping there was a capability within some of our switches (eg. procurve 3400gl or 2848) that would allow us to bring up a tunnel across which we could tag our vlans.

Sorry, the routing switches we have are a Procurve 3400cl-48g and Procurve 2848, but if necessary we may be able to purchase additional equipment if necessary.

Waht type of Technology is the WAN connection between the sites?

Re: Tunnel VLAN across sites

The WAN is a Layer 3 Managed VPN. Bandwith, albeit not important for the purposes of concept, will be 20Mbps symmetric.

Hi, I know this is a very , (very) old post, but did you ever get a solution to this, we are planning a similar environment.
