Two 5308XL's

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the most effective way is to connect two 5308XL core switches together are?

At the moment we are just using a standard patch cable from one gbit port to another gbit port on the other switch.

Would I see much difference in connecting them using fiber modules? What sort of throughput would i expect compared to using gbit -> gbit?

Many thanks.

Fiber or copper makes no difference speed wise. If you want to increase the bandwidth you can configure port trunk groups which will aggregate 2 to 8 ports between the switches.
