Re: Upgrade SNMP
Each Network device supports a specific version of SNMP, and most of ProCurve Managed switches support SNMP v3.
Can you specify which device you want to upgrade ?
Thanks

Re: Upgrade SNMP
The SNMP service was found to be running on the targeted system.
If you are running SNMP v1, the system is most likely vulnerable to a Denial of Service. In some cases, the system may be vulnerable to remote compromise.
Recommendation: You should immediately take the corrective steps to overcome this problem.
so i thought i have to upgrade SVMP,
waiting for your help

Re: Upgrade SNMP
SNMP v1 and v2 are notorious for having gaping security holes, thats why you gor this report.
Any way SNMP can be disabled and can also be secured.
If you please provide the switch model then i can instruct you how to disable it.
Good luck

Solution- Step 1: configure terminal
Enter global configuration mode.
- Step 2: no snmp-server
Disable the SNMP agent operation.
- Step 3: end
Return to privileged EXEC mode.
- Step 4:show running-config
Verify your entries.
-Step 5: copy running-config startup-config
Save the Configuration.
This will solve your problem.
And don't forget to assign points....
