VLAN's and GVRP
Hi,
I have a 5308 core switch and 11 2650's deployed at the edge. I have defined several VLAN's on the 5308 and enabled gvrp on all switches. My problem is, how do I define ports on the edge switches to allocate them to different VLAN's ? The gvrp info appears on the 2650's under sh vlans, but in the menu, the vlans do not appear, also, the names of the vlans do not appear, only numbers. Do I need to define the VLAN's manually on the 2650's ?
Thanks,
Tony.

Re: VLAN's and GVRP
Hi
If you want to configure Static VLAN Per-Port Settings, the vlan command, used with the options untagged, changes the per-port VLAN membership settings.
2650(config)#vlan < vid > untagged
This Configures the indicated port(s) as Untagged for the specified VLAN.
And if you used â noâ , this sets the port(s) to either No or (if GVRP is enabled) to Auto.
Don;t forget to assign points.
Good Luck !!!
