VLAN traffic issues
Here's the situation -
2 5406zl switches, one port on each switch is designated and configured as a VLAN between them 10.8.1.x. Between this VLAN resides a dumb switch where we have a few other devices connected. Every device can ping in/out of the vlan except a piece of comm equipment (10.8.1.202). My problem is that the 5406zl switches cannot ping the comm equipment and visa versa. Devices beyond the 5406zl vlan cannot see the comm equip either.
See pic for a better understanding.
Any ideas why this comm equipment is having a hard time getting through the HP switch?
