Using the Cisco PIX 506e, you are only allowed 2 VLANs, so one may need to be native (untagged) as it goes through the trunk to the switch.

As I understand it though, that should be okay, as
the LAN VLAN would be untagged going into port 5 on the switch, and the DMZ VLAN would be tagged going into port 5 on the switch.

Would this be okay?

John,

Not sure if a PIX requires an untagged VLAN -- but if it does, then using untagged for LAN VLAN and tagged for DMZ VLAN on port 5 would be fine.
