Vlan routing on HP 2650 or HP 5308
Hi,
I have the following scenario
I have 3 vlans with the following subnets
VLAN 1 192.168.0.0/24
VLAN 2 192.168.1.0/24
VLAN 3 192.168.2.0/24
The respective VLAN IP's on the switch are
192.168.0.2, 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.3.2
The devices in each vlan use the vlan ip's on the switch as their default gateway.
Currently they can all succesfuly route to each subnet however I would like to restrict traffic from vlan 1 to vlan 3.
I would like to do it using IP rather that port filters...etc
Is this possible on a 2650 or a 5308 switch.
the scenario going forward is that different application environments will be on different vlans, and we would like to restrict certain environments/vlan/subnets from communicating with other specific vlan/subnets for example devleopment and production.

On the 5300s you can use access control lists to restrict traffic as required:
