Vlans on HP2510G-24

I have two HP2510G-24 Switches. The Documentation tells me they support up to 64 Vlans, I have 8 Vlans set up, and when I try to add a 9th one, I get
"The Maximum number of VLANS (8) has already been reached"

I guess more info will be needed, but not sure what to post.
Thanks in advance

The switch have 8 vlans allocated so you will need to increase that. The documentation will tell you how to do this.

Re: Vlans on HP2510G-24

2510(config)# 'max-vlans 20' where 20 is the total number of vlans you'd ever need.

The switch allocates physical memory to each vlan created in order operate. So just because you can have many vlans, don't increase the number to that "max" amount the switch can support.

Once you do this command, you will need to 'wr mem' and reload the switch so it can allocate that memory for the number max vlans you increased it to.
