Web Authentication and local user (ProCurve 2626-PWR)
Hi,
we are trying to setup web authentication with a local switch user (no Radius)
aaa port-access web-based 1
So far, the client sees the web authentication web page, but neither the admin nor the operator password is accepted.
Maybe someone did already that setup?
Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Web Authentication and local user (ProCurve 2626-PWR)
I haven't tried it myself, but did you give the admin and operator users usernames as well as passwords?

Yes, they both have usernames and passwords. The login eg. via the web interface works fine.

Re: Web Authentication and local user (ProCurve 2626-PWR)
Reading through the manual I don't think using the local switch users is a supported method for web authentication:
"Both methods rely on using
a RADIUS server for authentication."
802.1x on the other hand can use the local switch username/password.
