Webagent

How can I change the password to do things in the webagent? Is there a default password from the factory? Can anyone point me to a manual with this type of information? I'm using the webagent in the firmware of my switches.

Thanks,

-JH

Re: Webagent

Hi John,

Can you state the types of switches you are referring to? Most switches do not have a default password, so they should be accessible without any.
If you are talking about the 9300 series for example, they use the SNMP community settings for the webagent. Use "get" as username for the read-only SNMP community and "set" for the read-write SNMP community.

Re: Webagent

I found it actually. I have a 5308xl and a 4108gl. I was prompted for a username and password (Internet Explorer). But there is no user name only a password which is set in the PCM.

The key is ther is no username even though it asks for one.

Thanks,
