arp-protect trust command doesnt work

Hi,
I'm trying to use arp-protect feature of procurve 4204vl switch but when i issue the command "arp-protect trust {trusted ports}" for a port, i get an error that says "Null CE." Does anybody know what this is? All other commands seem to work fine. ios version L.11.12
