backing up switch configs
I was wondering if there is any way to automate the backup of switch configurations? We currently use PCM 2.1 for switch config backups but I would also like to keep a txt file copy of the switch configs. Currently the only way of getting a txt backup that I know, to use a tftp server and the command:
copy running-config tftp 10.1.7.1 switchname unix
This is probably a long shot but I thought I throw this question out there just in case.

Re: backing up switch configs
Hi Mike,
In PCM 2.2 (free upgrade) there is an "Export Configuration" feature which should achieve what you're after there.
You could even set a Policy so that this runs automatically at whatever frequency you like.

Re: backing up switch configs
I wasn't aware that PCM 2.2 was a free upgrade. I'll look into it. Thanks.
