backup config switch with SNMP and TFTP
I have seen these question posted before, but I havent seen any replies.
Need help on
Invoking tftp upload using snmp on procurve 2524, 5308.

It sounds like a reinvention of the wheel since PCM does that today.
Despite PCM doing this, I do on occaision use telnet to acheive the same end result.

Re: backup config switch with SNMP and TFTP
By default, the TFTP server on the switches is disabled. You can enable this TFTP server via SNMP. The OID for enabling/disabling the TFTP server is the
following:
1) MIB Object: hpSwitchIpTftpMode (1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.7.1.5.6)
2) Change integer value from 1 to 2 < (1) Secure | 2) Insecure >
3) Connect your TFTP client to the ProCurve switch and fetch the "startup-config" file.
following:
