Re: configure HP pro 2626 as layer2 switch
Hi Gorgi,
What is it you are trying to achieve? ^The HP 2626 will quite happily function as a Layer2 switch. Just assign the ports to the correct VLANs and you are away!
You can assign an IP address to one of the VLANs (VLAN 1 is the default VLAN) to allow remote management of the device.
If you need information on how to configure the device (Commands etc.) then let us know what you want it to do and we will help you.
A Layer2 switchport on a Cisco device is configured using:
Int fa0/x
Switchport mode access
Switchport access vlan x
On the 2626 :
Vlan x
untag x-y
Where x and y are the interface numbers.
