configuring VLANs on 2910
I'm thinking of buying a 2910-48 switch.
I want to configure this into 3 different VLAN's.
Port 1, where the actual internet connection/firewal will be
Port 2-23 VLAN 1 with different servers
Port 24-48 VLAN 2 with different servers
I dont want servers on VLAN 1 to be able to be able to connect to servers on VLAN 2, and not the other way either. Both VLAN's should be able to connect to the firewall though.
Is this possible to setup?

Re: configuring VLANs on 2910
Oh yes, I have several 2910al switches, and setting up VLAN on them is a breeze, even if you're not that familiar with them.

Re: configuring VLANs on 2910
this is not possible
2910 switch able routing between vlan
can able all vlan client communication between
but sperate between vlan impossible because
2910 switch don't support vlan ACL
if you want sperate traffic between vlan's you must use vlan base ACL but don't support 2910 switch.2910 switch support port base ACL
many be use different option without vlan's
"source port filter"
source port filter option prevent communication between ports
for example
ProCurve Switch 3500-24(config)# filter source-port 20
drop Set a list of ports to which forwarding of filtered
packets is not permitted.
forward Set a list of ports to which forwarding of filtered
packets is permitted.
named-filter Set the filter name.
ProCurve Switch 3500-24(config)# filter source-port 20 drop
[ethernet] PORT-LIST Enter a list of ports or one port or 'all'(to specify
all ports) for the 'drop' command/parameter.
