displaying switch and port by IP address
I was wondering if procurve devices had the capability of displaying a devices switchport if you look for an IP address, I believe the cisco equivalent is show cam command. I have a mix of 4100s, 26 and 2800s, and a 5304 in my network, What I would like to do is ask my switch where device 10.1.1.1 is and it will tell me switchx port 24.
Regards,
Chris Bullock

Re: displaying switch and port by IP address
With PCM+ it has a find node feature that does exactly this.

Re: displaying switch and port by IP address
Hi, Chris !
If you enable/install LLDP agent on a device (e.g., Vista support it) you can see even more information.
Say you can use sh lldp ... command on your switch.
Good luck,
Dmitry
