Re: do support some managed switches Wake-On-LAN ?

I have never seen a managed switch that has a "soft" power switch. Many don't even have a power switch and are simply plugged in to power them up. I cannot imagine why someone would want to have WOL on a network switch.

If I misunderstood and what you ask is if the switch supports pass-through of the WOL magic packet, I would expect that most all switches would support that.

Hi Chris,

Wake-On-Lan is a broadcast packet that is forwarded on every switchport in the same vlan. If you want to use a subnet directed broadcast (a broadcast to a network that differs from the source), you probably have to configure the Vlan interface.
Switches are always powered on and dont go to a deep green sleeping mode. WOL is primarely used to wake-up PC's.
