easy/quick way to log throuput on 5406 ports?

Ignorant question, but what else is new from trs. trly.

I need to determine the aggregate throughput from a series of ports on one of our 5406zl switches. I could reset the port counters to zero at the start of the day, read them at the end of the day, and divide by the time interval, but that won't adequately relfect the peaks and valleys of LAN utilization.

Is there a simple, and preferrably free, tool which can log and graph network traffic on a per-port basis over time? Maybe something like MRTG for ProCurve switches?

Thanks in advance.
