file copying error

hi ,
i have a catalyst 4006 series switch with a fibre module connected to another department through fibre back bone. when i try to copy any file from a system to on another segment to this departmnt it gets copied but it gives error the other way one intresting thing i noticed it that this problem occurs with only MS-OFFICE files which may be small in size but other files viz PDF gets copied easily without errors.
Please someone provide me some solution.

sounds like a duplex error to me. One side is set to Full Duplex and the other is set to Auto (which will set up to half).
