hp 4100 series switch - vlans number
Hello,
Please be so kind and tell me if it is possible to use more than the current maximum number of vlans (30) in the near future. We just bought three switches from the 4100 series, and we are in the situation of needing more than 30 vlans. Is there a modified firmware available that can support it?
Thank you in advance.

Re: hp 4100 series switch - vlans number
I doubt that the 4100 will ever be supporting more than 30 vlans at this stage. Since the product has been around for a few years now it's unlikely there will be many more feature enhancements.

Re: hp 4100 series switch - vlans number
Hi,
I asked it because I have an older model 4000m and it supports more than 30 VLANs. I think the 4100 hardware is ready for it also.
Let us see.

Are you sure about that? My 4000M's support only 30 VLANs too.
