hp 9304m software upgrade

Hello, I'm trying to update my old 9304m and am getting stuck on the software upgrade to H2R07601b.bin.

I've located an old thread that had a workaround, but it requires another version of the software that I can't find on the HP website.

Does anyone have a copy of v7.1.24 (H2R07124.bin)?

But did you already talk to support regarding your issue (since the software is from 2002 and not supported anymore) I just want you to be on the safe-side before you break anything?

I did locate the bin file on ftp.hp.com, so no need to send a copy.

Updating to v7.6.01b causes error code 8.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the workaround linked above does in fact work. It will allow an upgrade from v7.1.19. The issue is apparent when comparing the Max code img size allotment:

Compressed Pri Code size = 2612179, Version 07.1.19T53 (H2R07119.bin)
Compressed Sec Code size = 2612179, Version 07.1.19T53 (H2R07119.bin)
Maximum Code Image Size Supported: 2817536 (0x002afe00)
Boot Image size = 281376, Version 07.06.05 (m2b07605.bin)

The max code size listed with v7.1.19 is less than with v7.1.24 loaded (even though the docs say this is fixed by the boot img v7.06.05). It now lists:
