Natively or using some additional software package?

I believe one can run gated on the HP-UX system. Be _very_ careful with the configs or you could crowbar your entire network. Use the gated manpage and whatever you find on docs.hp.com.

99 times out of 10 that is really only necessary if you want to use the HP-UX system as a router, which it can do, but isn't really what it was meant for.

What sort of situation has you wanting to have an HP-UX system listening to routing protocols?
