login and password lost hp procurve 2524 ...

hi .

As you can read in the title , we have lost all our logins and passwords to manage our switchs ... is there anyway to retrieve them ? or can we just "reset" them ? thx

Hi.

Simple that is... just press CLEAR in front of the switch. This clears all passwords.

Hi again.

If you press RESET you will reboot the switch. No settings will be lost.

If you press CLEAR you will clear all passwords of the switch. Nothing else.

To lose switch settings you need to press both together in a sequence described in Management and Configuration Guide.

So, just press Clear and try again :-)
