need help with configering "line speed on a port"
hi,
I use "hp procurve manager" to monitor my network. Lately I've been seeing "threshold violation" on some of switches. When I check the link speed on a port it says 10mb and the port is 1gb; how can it be? How can I change the speed of the port? Can I use HP ProCurve Manager or do I need to use the CLI?
I need help because this problem slows down my network
:(

Re: need help with configering "line speed on a port"
Hello
when two devices had the port configuration "auto" and they can't handle the portspeed they go to the slowest speed. This is 10 hdx.
To fix the portspeed connect the Switches via CLI then
/conf
interface "number"
speed-duplex
1000-full
write memory/
You must begin with the behindest Switch. When you configure the Port, the connection is lost. When you configre the other Side with the same speed it works again.
