hi,
i have got 17 units of 4100GL model HP switches, some of these are 4104GL and some of these are 4108. When i use web interface of these i got ping timeout. At least 8-9 minutes later i can reach, i can ping to them. Why i could not use web interface ? All of these switches has G.07.21 firmware version installed. ROM version G.05.01. is there any problem with this versions ?

I had this same exact problem. I called support about it.It was a known issue with IE and java. If you used IE the switch would crash and reboot. At the time for a work around I used Opera for the web interface and this worked fine. But it has now been fixed with the latest firmware. You absolutly want to update your switches. Your's are way behind. The current release dated April is G.07.53. It can be found at this link http://www.hp.com/rnd/software/switches.htm
