password reset Compaq SW5450 Ethernet Switch

i have bought a compaq SW5450 switch without a valid password . when i boot in rommon i get an option to load the default config but still i get prompted for a password.

the default username + password does not work

If you try booting into secondary, does that help? I've been advised that the default is 'admin' with no password.

Otherwise you probably need to contact Extreme networks (OEM partner) to find out how to truly reset the password.

no, secondary does not help and admin + blank password does not work either :-(.
