procurve 2524 - logging telnet ip

Hello,

i try to get our procurves to log the IP of an
incoming telnet session to syslog and event log.
What i geht now is:

I 09/17/06 09:45:23 mgr: SME TELNET Session - MANAGER Mode established

so i miss some ... from x.x.x.x.

Didn't find anything that would change the
behaviour.

Can someone help me?

Best regards,

Steffen

Re: procurve 2524 - logging telnet ip

Hi

Try to access the log in the menu, if its the same, try to upgrade the firware.
Anyway you still can configure an external Syslog server and have all the logs and debug outputs and you will get all the information about telnet as well.

Good Luck !!!

Re: procurve 2524 - logging telnet ip

I tried to access the log in the menu, it is the same - no IPs.

The firmware is the latest one.
There is a syslog server configured and it logs everything, but no ip here too.

Maybe one needs some log verbosity level option?

Best regards,

Steffen
