procurve 2524
my WUG tells me that the http is down on the 2524. when i console into it to check it out, i only get 3 icons (face laughing at me, up and down arrow, and a heart) when i hit enter the cursor just runs through the page and stops again on the face. how can i get to the password prompt??

It is possibly that the sonsole speed of your terminsl had a wrong speed and the autodetectfunction doesn't work.
Set console to: speed 9600baud, 8bit data, parity none, 1 stopbit, flowcontrol none -the standard.
The terminalemulation should be vt100

Also make sure not to use windows terminal when you connect, it can act wiered sometimes. Im using teraterm myself.
