procurve 4/8 and problem to connect via ip address

Hi everybody

i have four switchs HP procurve 4/8
i have set ip address to ethernet connection by ipaddrset, it's ok for 2 not ok for the 2 others (i have try wuith the same cable, ok for 2 not ok for the 2 others !)
securemode is not set, how to stop/start only ethernet port ? (switch will be not rebooted)
ipaddrset seems ok...

switch is brocade 200E ...
it is possible to stop/start only eth0, not the switch ?
