recover password on HP sanswitch 2/8-EL?

Thanks to a migration of equipment from one location to my location, I've inherited a pair of HP Sanswitch 2/8-ELs, but the password sworn to by the original owner simply doesn't work. Neither does the factory default (admin/password).

Is there a recovery procedure?

Actually ended up opening an ITRC case for this, and they responded that the procedure is to provide HP with serial #, firmware, and model, and that they then ship that off to Brocade to get a custom firmware created that does nothing but reset the password, which sounded very painful.

...but then the original admin remembered the correct password and it became a moot point. :-)

Ten points though on the assumption that your tip would have yielded success. :-)
